Risk Management in ERP Projects - A BSM White Paper

Risk Management in ERP Projects - BSM White PaperAs anyone who has ever been involved in an ERP implementation can attest, implementing an ERP system is an inherently risky activity. Implementation failures occur for all sorts of reasons and the effects of failure can range from the relatively benign (such as “poor user-friendliness”) to the business-endangering (“inability to process transactions”).

This paper looks at four of the risk factors (Ineffective Strategic Thinking and Planning; Poor Project Team Skills; Inadequate BPR and Inadequate Change Management) that most affect ERP implementations and suggests how these risks can be dealt with.
